What We Are Up To

Rise in Resiliency (RR) is a non-profit organization working in underserved communities to preserve cultural traditions, co-create holistic health initiatives, and improve economic sustainability

In the past 8 months, we have had the honor to work with a group of Cabécar Indigenous people, living in a mountain community called Tsirikbata.

The people of Tsirikbata have asked for our support in:

1- Building a School for the community. The current school is in very poor conditions, with traditional leaf roof, it does not provide a space for children to stay dry, study and work in usable conditions.

2. Skill Building workshops. We have held two workshops in the past month to bring art and additional skills to community members.

3. Expansion of Artisanal Products & Store

4. Development of Jungle Tours in Tsirikbata

5. Advocacy

More details on these initiatives soon!

How We Got Here

Rise in Resiliency (RR) has officially been in Costa Rica for one year and 5 months! Throughout the year, we have built relationships, had trials and errors, navigated a new culture, listened, co-created and put our best efforts forth to empower a community needing support.

Since May 2022, after months of relationship building, visualizing the impact of work we hoped to do and putting in efforts within the community, we officially partnered with the Indigenous Cabécar people of Tsirikabata.

We focus our efforts in skill building, holistic health initiatives and cultural preservation.
